1- Cleft Lip and Palate
At Simbock Hills Plastic Surgery, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to smile confidently. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Smile Train, a global organization dedicated to empowering local medical professionals to provide free cleft lip and palate surgery to children in need.
Cleft lip and palate are birth defects that occur when the tissues in the lip or roof of the mouth don’t fully join together during development. This can lead to difficulty feeding, speaking, and even hearing. Fortunately, cleft lip and palate surgery can correct these issues and dramatically improve a child’s quality of life.
Through our partnership with Smile Train, we offer free cleft lip and palate surgery to children in Central Africa. Dr. OBEN Sammy, our highly experienced and board-certified plastic surgeon, leads a dedicated team of professionals who utilize advanced techniques and compassionate care to deliver life-changing transformations for these children.
2- Breast Reconstruction
Breast reconstruction is a surgical procedure performed after mastectomy (breast removal) due to breast cancer or as a preventive measure for high-risk individuals.
It involves recreating a breast mound to restore a natural-looking breast shape. This can be achieved using implants, tissue expanders, or autologous tissue (flap) reconstruction.
Breast reconstruction helps women regain a sense of femininity, body symmetry, and self-confidence after the emotional and physical impact of breast cancer treatment.
3- Hand Surgery
Hand surgery encompasses various procedures aimed at reconstructing and restoring hand function and appearance after injuries, trauma, or congenital deformities.
Hand surgeons utilize techniques such as tendon repair, nerve repair, microvascular surgery, and tissue grafting to restore optimal hand functionality and improve aesthetics.
Hand surgery is crucial in enabling individuals to regain independence, perform daily activities, and improve their overall quality of life.
Reconstructive surgery procedures are highly specialized, focusing on restoring both physical and emotional well-being. Plastic surgeons work closely with patients, considering their unique needs, goals, and medical histories to create individualized treatment plans. These procedures not only help in physical recovery but also provide psychological and emotional support, empowering individuals to regain their self-esteem and confidence following life-altering events.
4- Burn Reconstruction
Burn reconstruction is a specialized area of reconstructive surgery that focuses on restoring functionality and aesthetics for individuals who have suffered from burn injuries.
The procedure involves various techniques such as skin grafting, tissue expansion, and flap reconstruction to repair damaged skin, improve mobility, and minimize scarring.
Burn reconstruction aims to restore form and function to the affected area, allowing individuals to regain their confidence, functionality, and quality of life following burn injuries.
Burn reconstruction procedures are highly individualized and require careful assessment and planning by a skilled plastic surgeon. The goal is to provide comprehensive care that includes not only the physical reconstruction of the affected area but also psychological support to help individuals recover and reintegrate into their daily lives.
5- SCAR REVISION
Scar revision surgery aims to minimize the appearance of scars resulting from accidents, injuries, or previous surgeries.
Techniques used in scar revision may include surgical excision, dermabrasion, laser resurfacing, or tissue grafting to improve the texture, color, and overall appearance of scars.
Scar revision procedures can help individuals regain confidence and improve their self-image by reducing the visibility of scars.
